The Fiji Papaya Project (FPP) is a co-ordinated industry driven initiative to develop the Fiji papaya industry by leveraging all stakeholders and partners. The FPP brings together local and international partners to meet the needs of the industry. The FPP is geared towards meeting five major outcomes:

1.  Ensuring a framework is in place to support expansion of the Fiji papaya industry;

2.  Providing a realistic analysis of the papaya export market opportunities and constraints;

3.  Improving the quality and efficiency of the supply chain by addressing key issues;

4.  Improving farmer-market linkages through information dissemination; and

5.  Addressing key production and postharvest issues through applied research.
